BAMM Conference Décor at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport

The Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport is a conference hotel, which sets most of the constraints before any design work begins. Ballroom and atrium spaces are tall, the sightlines are long, and other events are usually running in adjacent rooms on the same day. Décor that would fill a standard office lobby disappears at that scale.

Hotel conference venues also run on a strict clock. Install happens in the window between the previous booking and the conference opening, and breakdown starts when the room is released. Balloon Décor planned the build around the window the venue allowed rather than around an ideal schedule.

The installation was built at large scale in the conference brand colors, so delegates read the event identity from across the room instead of hunting for it on printed signage. At this size, the design decisions that matter are structural: where the mass sits, how it relates to the ceiling height, and whether it still reads from the far end of the space.

Balloon Décor handled delivery, on-site build and breakdown. The seven images in the set show the finished work across the venue, which is the useful record for an event manager comparing what a large-format installation looks like in a real hotel space rather than in a studio photograph.
