Annual Corporate Event Décor at the Oakland Marriott

Annual events carry an internal expectation that this year should not look like last year. That is usually resolved through the palette and the placement rather than through scale, since the venue and the format often stay the same from one year to the next.

Hotel ballrooms bring their own constraints: fixed carpet and wall finishes the décor has to sit against, in-house event staff to coordinate with, and a defined window for setting up and clearing.

The installation was built in the colors set for the event and distributed across the venue rather than concentrated in one feature, so the room read as dressed from wherever a guest was standing.
