A Gala and a Conference in One Room
Running a gala and a conference together means one room has to do two jobs in a day. During the conference the front of the room is a working stage with speakers, a lectern and screens; in the evening the same wall becomes the background for awards, photographs and the formal part of the program.
Décor for that pattern has to be built once and stay correct through both. It cannot be adjusted between sessions, and it cannot look like conference dressing at seven in the evening or like party décor at nine in the morning.
Backdrop and Stage Columns
The backdrop gave the stage a defined surface so that anyone photographed at the front of the room had a finished background rather than a hotel wall. The columns framed the stage edges, holding the composition together at the sides where a backdrop alone would leave the platform reading as unfinished.
Red, royal blue and gold is a formal, institutional palette with real weight to it. Gold does the lifting at an awards moment, while red and royal blue keep the composition anchored and organizational rather than decorative. The eight images show the installation across the room and at the stage.
