The Opening
For a fashion and activewear retailer, opening day is a content event as much as a trading one. Customers photograph the storefront, the brand reposts it, and the arch is in every one of those frames. A storefront treatment for this kind of retailer is judged first on how it looks in a phone photograph taken from the walkway.
That is a narrower test than it sounds. The image is almost always vertical, taken from a few paces back, and includes the store sign, the doorway and whatever queue has formed. Anything that reads well only from directly in front, or only in a wide horizontal frame, is effectively invisible in the photographs that actually circulate.
The Storefront Arch
An arch over the entrance does something columns cannot: it closes the frame at the top, so the doorway becomes a single photographic composition rather than two vertical elements with a gap between them. Built in the Fabletics brand colors, the arch turned the shopfront into the opening-day backdrop.
Balloon Décor handled load-in, build and removal within the center's vendor window. Three photographs record the finished arch.

Branded Retail Opening Décor in the Bay Area
Balloon Décor works with apparel, beauty, lifestyle and specialty retailers on Bay Area store openings, building storefront arches and entrance installations to each brand's own color specification.
Comparable openings in this portfolio include MINISO, Face Foundrie and Smart & Final. Each took a different format — columns, a monochrome arch and a high-contrast entrance arch — because the frontage, the brand and the way customers approach the store were different in each case.
This project sits under grand opening & office opening décor across the bay area, and appears alongside comparable work in the grand openings & office openings portfolio.
